Privacy policy

Effective from 30 October 2026

This policy explains how KeeNet Kft. processes personal data on the www.shoppee.hu website. It is based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on the right to informational self-determination and freedom of information. In case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails.

2. Short summary

  • This website does not use cookies and does not include tracking or advertising code.
  • Fonts and other files load from our own server, so no data reaches external providers such as Google during your visit.
  • We typically process personal data only when you contact us.

3. What data we process, and why

3.1. Contact and quote requests

Providing data is voluntary, but we cannot reply without your name, email address and message.

We also record the full content of the submitted form in the application log before sending the email, so that the enquiry is not lost if sending fails. This log is deleted automatically based on a size limit, so the data may remain there for longer than the period above.

We truncate the IP address before logging, so the web server log alone is not suitable for identifying individual visitors.

3.3. Contract and accounting data

If you conclude a contract with us, we process contact and billing data to perform the contract [GDPR Article 6(1)(b)] and to comply with legal obligations [point (c)]. We keep accounting documents for 8 years under section 169 of Hungarian Act C of 2000 on Accounting. Other contract-related data is processed until the general limitation period ends, which is 5 years from the end of the contract.

3.4. Data processed in webshops

For customer data processed in our subscribers' webshops, the operator of the webshop is the controller and KeeNet Kft. acts as a processor under a separate data processing agreement. The privacy notice of the webshop in question provides information about this processing.

4. Cookies

This website does not use cookies, so no cookie consent banner appears. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your prior consent to any cookies that are not strictly necessary.

5. Who can access the data?

Data can be accessed by those employees of KeeNet Kft. who need it to perform their duties. In addition, the following processors may be involved, with appropriate contractual safeguards:

  • hosting and server provider (storing the website and logs);
  • email provider (transmitting and storing contact messages);
  • accountant (handling accounting documents if a contract exists).

We will provide the current list of processors on request. We do not transfer data to third countries. If using a provider ever makes this necessary, we will do so with safeguards in line with Chapter V of the GDPR. We only disclose data to authorities where required by law.

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling on this website.

6. Data security

We protect data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access, regular updates and filtering of attacks.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding the processing of your data:

  • Information and access (GDPR Article 15): you can ask what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification (Article 16): you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Article 17): you can ask us to delete your data if it is no longer needed.
  • Restriction (Article 18): you can ask us to restrict processing.
  • Data portability (Article 20): in cases set by law, you can ask us to transfer your data.
  • Objection (Article 21): you can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdrawing consent: if processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You can send your request to info@shoppee.hu or by post to our registered office. We reply without undue delay, and within one month at the latest. We may verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

8. Remedies

If you believe we have violated your rights, please write to us first. You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
